What are the best XC tyres for mixed off-road surfaces on Mavic XC717 rims? - good off road rims
Opinions please! I'm converting my bike on, all in a special bike to do XC light (what a Maxlight Kinesis is) after the purchase of another frame for heavier tasks. Mavic XC717 rims and running and I want it for single tracks going into the light and perhaps a few races, if (and the time to use the competition) have. I have a flat tire, if I want to really take my bicycle on the road, it is not a consideration. Experts statistics can be useful - I am running 85kg (190 pounds) 100mm forks. I personally had great success with Tires Specialized Fast Track Pro LK. They are very popular with XC-drivers in our region. Fast Track Pro is creating a series of buttons in the middle, something like a center of the tread for high drive very quickly, on hard surfaces. Due to the poor control design (designation SC), which are very easy. They have a pretty tight design control, so that violence is not an emanation of the factual tone. However, if the dough is too sticky, they will be OK. I weigh a little less than you, but generally runs about 25 pounds on our Rooty, rocky ground and press without looking. I ran as little as 20 pounds, and although I never Flatted Prize, which seem to be right on the edge.
If you want a lighter tires, Kenda Klimax Lite Pro is great. Dispose of the mud very well. Although the control design is a relatively low minimum bid occur, for good adhesion. I do not think that I am hairy down with them, but for the typical XC should be good. Kenda says there is a 1.95 "tire, but I think it's closer to 1.75".
